New Delhi: Motorola Mobility is in discussions with Indian device makers Lava International and Dixon Technologies to manufacture up to $1 billion (Rs 7,400 crore) worth of mobile phones, as the company seeks to shift a portion of its capacity out of China, people familiar with the matter said.If they sign the contracts, the Lenovo unit would become the first Chinese-owned smartphone maker to use Indian companies to manufacture products locally.
