Aerial photo taken on Nov. 13, 2020 shows the construction site of the “Huawei Cloud” data center in Guian New Area, southwest China’s Guizhou Province. The plan of the establishment of the new area was officially approved in January of 2014, where the big data has been listed as a key industry for development. The new area has so far planned 14 data centers of large or extra-large scale with intended investment amounting to 47 billion yuan (about 7.1 billion U.S. dollars).
