ShareChat hires back half of laid-off employees, expected to add another 150-200 in six months

BENGALURU: ShareChat has re-hired half of the employees it had laid off a few months ago and will add a further 150-200 people in the next six months, the chief executive of the social media platform said, as it bets on its short video app Moj following a ban on rival Chinese apps TikTok and Helo. ShareChat had let go 101 employees, or about a fourth of its workforce in May, citing an unpredictable advertising market amid the Covid-19 induced
