Telecom department stuck on allotting 5G trial airwaves in absence of Huawei, ZTE clarity

Airtel and Vodafone have partnered with Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and Nokia for the 5G trials while Reliance Jio in its first application partnered with Samsung and then applied to go solo.

SynopsisOfficials say all telcos, including Jio, have applied for 5G spectrum for trials and everyone will be allotted. But “only once the government formally takes a stance on Huawei and ZTE”.
