Ducati is working closely with the Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini to come up with the new limited-edition Ducati Diavel motorcycle. Both manufacturers are have provided consumers with many beautiful creations over the decades. Most of the bikes have made excellent pin-up posters or mobile wallpapers. The Italian brands have been at the zenith of the performance game. Now, they are both bringing resources together to build the Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260. The manufacturers will release the new limited-edition Diavel motorcycle as the 2021 model.

The two marquees have worked together in the past. The top designers of both firms and Walter de Silva, a former Volkswagen designer, Piero Misani (R&D boss at Pirelli), and other designers had built a one-off custom Diavel 1260 S. The motorcycle was displayed at the Milan Design Desk in 2019. Even though there were no changes to the bike’s styling, specific elements of the motorcycle received fancy treatment. Carbon fiber was used to make the radiator guards and side panels. The belly had an appealing black, glossy finish. Many yellow accents on the bike also complemented the USD fork well. Also, the under-tail panel arrived in yellow shade like the one found on the Lamborghini Urus.

Ducati will also introduce the regular 2021 Ducati Diavel, Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini, and the S variants. The three options share a similar 1262cc V-Twin engine with the 2020 model. Ducati will introduce the three motorcycles in the U.S market later in 2020. However, there is limited information about when the Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260 motorcycle will be introduced in the Indian market. According to Fourtitude, the new Lamborghini Edition Ducati Diavel 1260 motorcycle will feature various cosmetic changes, including the Lamborghini name and badging as well as new color and graphics. However, it is not clear how else the motorcycle will differ from the regular Ducati Diavel. The following are ten things you did not know about the Lamborghini Edition Diavel 1260.

1. It is 90 percent new.

Almost the entire motorcycle is new apart from the headlight, dash and tail light which have been carried over. The motorcycle will still have the cruiser design and an upright handlebar, a long-sculpted fuel tank, a single-sided swingarm, a long LED taillight under the seat, and a distinctive LED headlamp setup with surrounding LED DRLs. The mudguards and tires are also new.

2. The Ducati motorcycle is longer.

The Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260 is longer by a few millimeters. Its long wheelbase will help riders in handling long sweeping corners. The Ducati Diavel 1260 motorcycle feels more stable like a cruiser. Its mighty engine matches its power cruiser characteristic.

3. The standard Ducati Diavel 1260 is available in one color only, but the S is available in 2 different colors.

In the opinion of Tekdeeps, Ducati is launching a series of new colors and graphics currently for its models. Ducati experts did color research and found out that the Diavel was significantly popular in black color. The designers choose to offer the high spec S version 2 colors. The standard Ducati Diavel is available in sandstone grey color, which is also available in the S version. Most riders claim that the sandstone grey color is more stunning when dirty.

4. Its electronics package is substantially upgraded.

The designers of the Lamborghini Edition Diavel 1260S came up with three brilliant riding modes, including the Sport, Touring, and Urban. Its Sport mode makes the motorcycle feel like a full-on sports bike. The bike has a wide range of parameters such as:

• Traction Control
• ABS
• Cornering ABS
• Keyless start operated by a hands-free system, which connects the motorcycle to a dedicated mobile app
• Ducati Wheelie Control
• Ducati Power Launch for MotoGP traffic light drag wars

A Ducati Diavel rider can tune these electronic safety nets to the tiniest detail. One can control all these using the 3.5-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster.

5. Its tires are super sticky and work well in dry and wet conditions.

The Ducati Diavel 1260S has Pirelli Diablo Rosso III features with advanced dual-compound technology. The tires are hard on the inside but soft on the outside. The soft area on the outside is more extensive, giving the rider more grip. The tire provides the rider with confidence in wet and dry conditions, making one feel like a better rider.

6. Power

The Ducati Diavel 1260S produces 159bhp maximum power at 9500rpm as well as a torque peak of 129Nm at 7500rpm. Its engine has a slipper clutch that assists an advanced six-speed gearbox. The standard Ducati Diavel motorcycle will feature the Desmodromic valve timing.

7. Quick shifter available in Ducati Diavel 1260, and it is an option on the standard.

If you are considering buying the standard Ducati Diavel, go for the DQS. Experts claim that the quick shifter can minimize downtime as the rider engages the clutch to change gears with no loss of speed and power.

8. Suspension

A mono-shock at the rear and two 48mm USD forks at the front handle the Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel motorcycle’s suspensions. The manufacturers source both fully adjustable suspensions from Ohlins. The designers of the Ducati Diavel designed the braking system using advanced technology. The braking of the super-fast motorcycle is done using a radially-mounted 4-piston caliper with a 265mm brake disc at the rear and two 320mm brake discs at the front. The disc brakes are all from Brembo.

9. The seat is higher than in past models

The new Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260’s seat is slightly higher to suit taller riders. However, if you are a short rider, Ducati has a low seat option. The seat is 10mm more elevated than the previous edition.

10. The Ducati does not have a Carbon edition, just the standard and S models.

Ducati manufactures only have two models. However, the manufactures will release the X-Diavel later for the riders who prefer a cruiser-ish feel. The standard 1260 does not have the Ohlins suspensions and has fewer electronics while the 1260S provides riders with all the toys they require for their ride.

The Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260 is a unique bike with high-quality mechanical equipment, features, and it provides excellent performance. Most people expect the Lamborghini-Edition Ducat Diavel to have even more features beyond the existing list of the high-quality features on the bike. Since both Lamborghini and Ducati are members of the large Volkswagen Group, the motorcycle manufacturer will gather some sales number with the Lamborghini-Edition Ducati Diavel 1260.
